Launch Of Carers In The Workplace | CIPD and Westfield Health Partnership

With Carers week the 6th June to the 12th June 2016, b2b partnerships have worked with our client the CIPD to develop a piece of research with Westfield Health, raising awareness of the impact of being a working carer has on both the employee and employer.

The new CIPD/Westfield Health research identifies that the Demographic change in employees, means that we are all juggling more complex family lives with increasingly demanding working lives. With an ageing population and people living longer, many employees are finding themselves part of the ‘sandwich generation’ – balancing working commitment with caring for older family members and looking after their own children. Caring not only impacts on employees’ working lives, but can also affect employers through rising levels of absence.
