b2b celebrates a fantastic year but are looking ahead to exciting changes in 2020.
Happy New Year from all of us at b2b.We are looking forward to 2020 and another future focused year and decade ahead. You may be wondering what else we can we pull out the bag in 2020 - well let us tell you…
2019 was an exciting year for b2b and our strongest year in business to date. We consistently grew both in revenue and services and successfully delivered work for our membership organisations to help them grow, change and harness opportunities.
We worked on some really relevant programmes in 2019 including starting working with the The Climate Group to develop their new corporate membership structure and opportunities for growth and impact, which included some of our team having the privilege of attending the biggest Climate Action event on earth, Climate Week NYC. Our work with the Climate Group and previous work with the Carbon Trust has helped define our understanding of the role that businesses and sectors can play in climate change, which has led to us to co-develop Climate Action for Associations guidance (contact us for more information).
Our work in 2019 also included the development of a customer focused Content Strategy for a leading UK business based professional body, where we helped our client define a whole new approach and process to developing and delivering content to a broad range of customer groups including a critical content offer to non-members. We also created and helped execute a new business to business go-to-market plan for another leading UK Institute, which included international development opportunities to kick start their overseas corporate product footprint.
We started working with the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors to deliver their new partnership and commercial strategy and grew our work with the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management which included the development of connect workplace technology partnerships with Ricoh and Microsoft.
We celebrated working with our longest client, CIPD for 12 years and are excited by the new research and insights programmes we are working on for them in 2020 which include partnerships in the area of; Technology, Analytics, Recruitment and Reward.
Our team has grown again – our Australian office started working on the Australian Biome Project to draft a sustainable finance and funding and a partnership strategy to enable the Biome to complete its feasibility phase. Thanks to Perth Airport and Aboriginal communities for permitting the Australian Biome to be developed on such prime and sacred land. This is a super exciting project that will continue to build and execution phase.
Due to demand from clients and many years of interest and research b2b formed a JV with some of the world’s leading VR/AR content creators to develop a suite of immersive learning and member engagement products for our Association and membership organisation clients. As well as our very own Alison Heppenstall in line to become the incoming President for the VRARA in WA and building a community of highly innovative stakeholders in immersive technology in Australia and building strong links with AsiaPac.
As well as all this, we continued to grow our brand and corporate network and as part of our partnerships business we built many commercial and cash equivalent partnerships, sponsorships and strategic alliances for clients to enable them to grow, meet targets and do the things they are unable to do alone.
2020 is looking bright for b2b …
2020 is definitely on everyone’s minds given that it’s the start of a brand-new decade and we are looking at the future of b2b and our clients.
So what are we excited about? Are we allowed to say everything…?
Our clients represent key influencers and decision makers in business, professions and sectors they have tremendous impact economically, politically, socially and environmentally. We are proud of our work with them and as a result we understand our work also contributes to this impact so in a small way we are helping them make a big difference.
We understand there is both a skills gap and shortage in the area of our expertise in membership organisations and so we are excited to be running a new training and development programme that we have developed specifically for Membership Organisations in 2020 (register interest here).
But lets not forget about the other projects that we have lined up, including; an immersive product all about the future of workplace our co-project with leading Climate Change NGO’s designed specifically to help our membership body clients understand and action their role in Climate Change.
As part of this, we are experimenting how we as a business implement a zero waste strategy and move to being a carbon neutral business ourselves. We know this wont happen overnight and this will be challenging, due mainly to the fact we are an flexible working business that is required to travel nationally and internationally (a lot)… but if much bigger complex businesses can do it – we are confident and determined that we can too.
We are so excited for 2020 and what this new decade is going to hold, so if there is anything the team at b2b can do for you, or you just want to learn more about us and how we can help you grow, change, maximise impact and generate alternative sustainable revenues over the next exciting decade – please get in touch!
In the meantime, Happy New Year from all the team at b2b!
Keep your eyes peeled for something exciting coming soon! Below is a taster of what's to come.
